Software

I have just started to download some free trila software, hopefully they will be usefull for this project?
They are dreamweaver cs3, flash cs3 professional and fetch.
All I have to do now is learn how to use them!
And I have also joined streamlinenet to host the web site, I have plenty of learning to do on this brief.
This will be an ongoing learning curve throughout the whole course!

Some research ideas

I am considering some options at the moment, like contacting different style's of magazines to find out who their target audience/readers are, their demographic.
This will help me with different layouts in respect to the web page/pages and how they translate information to different people.
I am hoping the web page will have buttons that connect you to this blog, the blog from London, podcast's and photo's etc.
I want this to be an on going concern, so that it can be accessed by anyone at anytime.
An interactive web page that you can leave comments on, upload images, edit and manipulate uploaded photo's and be a portfolio device.
It sounds like a lot to do in 10/9 weeks but as we are aware this does not have to be a completed idea, so I can concentrate on getting this to translate my ideas.
Hopefully the research will take me to different ideas I may not have considered before.
I am approaching this brief in a different way than I have done before, it feels liberating.

This was taken in complete silence, I attached sound to it in the editing process using garageband and final cut pro.

Londons Tourist Board!

As part of this project we went to London (the Barbican) to do an experiement in how to use the medium of photography in new ways using the web as a new platform.
our team used mobile phone camera technology, digital camera for stills aswell as moving image and analogue film, which we had developed and put onto cd at a one hour developing shop.
Here are some of those images/videos.

Intention

As part of (or even the whole of) my research for the project SHIFTING DESTINATIONS will be published onto this blog.
I am going to invite others to come and comment on the progression and also allow any interviews, still images and video that I publish to be critiqued.
